I Love Ferguson Donation

Greater North County Chamber of Commerce member I Love Ferguson donated a check for $5,000 to the Reinvest North County campaign. Shown in the photo are Rebecca Zoll, CEO of North County Inc. accepting the check from I Love Ferguson Chairman Brian Fletcher and board member Dwayne Ingram along with GNC chamber President Carolyn Marty.







November Business After Hours

A huge thank you to The Bridge at Florissant for hosting a great Business After Hours on Tuesday, November 11.  If you did not attend you missed out on some great food, drink and networking.  The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce wants to thank all of our generous members that have hosted a Business After Hours event during the past year.  You provide our members and their guests with a great opportunity to meet in a casual and relaxed setting.










Welcome International Foods

The Greater North County Chamber welcomed new member International Foods with a plaque presentation on Monday, November 10.  This new manufacturing and distribution plant is located at 6082 Aviator Dr. in Hazelwood.  Accepting the membership plaque from Chamber President Carolyn Marty is Clayton Brown.  Also present, Hazelwood Mayor Matt Robinson, City Manager Matt Zimmerman, City Clerk Colleen Wolf, City Council members and guests.







Veteran's Day - November 11, 2014





New Chamber Member Ribbon Cutting


Mick Samuelson, owner of 1-800-Flowers/Flowerama, 825 N. Hwy 67 in Florissant cuts the ribbon during a re-grand opening celebrating the merger of Flowerama and 1-800-Flowers.  Joining him were Florissant Mayor Tom Schneider, Greater North County Chamber President Carolyn Marty, chamber board members, chamber ambassadors and employees of 1800-Flowers/Flowerama.


 

October Business After Hours at Helfer's Deli

 


Another awesome GNC Chamber Business After Hours held on October 22 at Helfer's Deli in Florissant.  We would like to thank Chris, Kathy and Art for putting out a fabulous spread of their delicious food for our members and guests to enjoy.  Helfer's Deli has hosted this fall event for the past several years and it is one not to be missed.  Check out the photos on our Facebook page for additional pictures of the event.
 


 




Lions Park in Jennings
 

Chamber President Carolyn Marty was on hand to help celebrate the re-opening of Lions Park in Jennings with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  Pictured in the photo cutting the ribbon is Jennings Mayor Benjamin Sutphin along with city officials, employees and residents.  The City of Jennings received a $250,000 Municipal Park Grant to help with the cost of updating the park.  The pavilion was re-done, while adding a new smaller pavilion.  There are new picnic areas along with a new playground.  Check out our Facebook page for additional photos.





City of Florissant Plaque Presentation
 

The Greater North County Chamber presented an appreciation plaque to Florissant Mayor Tom Schneider at the city council meeting.  The City of Florissant was highlighted during the month of October in the chamber monthly newsletter and at the October membership luncheon.  For the past 5 months, the Chamber has recognized one of our member cities by showcasing the wonderful things each city has to offer to the residents and businesses in North County.




Women's Empowerment Seminar
 

The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce  Women In Networking (W.I.N.) Group held a Women's Empowerment Seminar on Wednesday, October 8th.  Pictured in the photo are the guests stretching out during the "Body Break Session" led Sharita Davis with Vitality Spa.  We would like to thank our guest speakers, Bonnie Barczykowski, C.E.O., Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri and Marcy Shipman, Regional Director, Wells Fargo for providing our guests with some very valuable information.  We would also like to thank Andrea's Boutique and Brief Reflections for providing the outfits and jewelry for the "stretch your dollars" fashion show. We would like to thank our two committee co-chairs Halina Conti and Karen Duich and all the other committee members that worked so hard to make this event a success.  Check out our Facebook page for additional photos.

Firehouse Subs Ribbon Cutting

The Chamber held a ribbon cutting ceremony for new member Firehouse Subs on Tuesday, October 7.  Shown in the photo cutting the ribbon is franchise owner Maureen Selzler.  Joining in on the festivities were chamber president Carolyn Marty, Florissant Mayor Tom Schneider, Black Jack Fire Chief Mike Gantner, members of the Florissant Valley Fire Protection District, Chamber board members, ambassadors and staff.  Firehouse Subs is located at 2312 N.
