May New Member Showcase
More than 20 new members showcased their products and services during the May membership luncheon at Yacovelli's. 2013 VIP Valley of Flowers Raffle Winners
Despite the damp weather the Puckett family from Pirrone's Pizzeria enjoyed a great day for the Valley of Flowers parade. The party started on the covered porch of the Chamber office. Thankfully, by the time the parade came by the rain had stopped and the group moved to the covered seating on the parade route. We would like to thank Jon Vogt with Catering To You Banquet Center and Dhari Pearson with Papa Murphy's Take N Bake Pizza for providing the food for our guests. Christian Hospital Foundation seeks support in raising funds for Hybrid Operating Room
Christian Hospital Foundation recently kicked off its public phase of fundraising for a hybrid operating room at Christian Hospital, a Chamber member.
A hybrid operating room is a spacious, large room with the most advanced medical imaging devices. This technology will allow doctors across different specialties to work together in the best interests of the patients.
The Foundation has raised close to $1.5 million towards its fundraising campaign of $2.5 million, and is now asking for support from the community. If interested in learning more about the Hybrid Operating Room or making a donation to the hospital foundation, call 314-653-5162.
Ridge Top Roofing Ribbon Cutting
The GNC Chamber held a ribbon cutting ceremony for new member Ridge Top Roofing on Friday, May 3. Paul Charney, Project Manager for Ridge Top Roofing was joined by fellow employees, chamber Ambassadors, Board Members and Staff for the event. Ridge Top Roofing offers roofing, siding and gutters. The showroom is located at 717 rue St. Francois St. in Florissant. The phone number is 314-400-7713.
Winner Drawn in V.I.P. Raffle for Valley of Flowers Parade
Congratulations to Rick Puckett with Pirrone's Pizzeria, winner of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce V.I.P. Valley of Flowers Parade Raffle. The package includes food, soft drinks, shaded seating directly on the parade route, private premium parking and private restroom facilities for Rick and 19 of this closest friends and relatives. The Chamber would like to thank everyone who purchase a raffle ticket. Now, we need a beautiful sunny day for the parade!!
Colleen Hannibal Installed as 2013/2014 Chairwoman
The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce installed the 2013/2014 Board of Directors at the annual Installation Dinner held at Norwood Hills Country Club on Friday, April 12. We would like to welcome Colleen Hannibal as our new Chairwoman. The Chamber welcomed 170 guests that evening with cocktails & dinner followed by the evenings ceremonies. Pictured in the photo at left is Colleen Hannibal presenting Julie Berthold with her plaque as retiring Chairwoman.
2013 Business Person of the Year
The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce honored Howard Nimmons as the 2013 Business Person of the Year at the annual Installation Dinner held on Friday, April 12 at Norwood Hills Country Club. Many members of the GNC Chamber, Florissant Rotary Club, family and friends were present that evening to honor Howard. April Business After Hours
Another great Business After Hours hosted by Pirrone's Pizzeria on Wednesday, April 10. For the third year in a row Pirrone's has hosted this very popular event. The crowd started gathering early to enjoy that famous Pirrone's pizza and delicious appetizers. Ribbon Cutting for Popportunities
The Chamber held a ribbon cutting ceremony for new member Popportunities on Friday, April 5. Popportunities offers a wide variety of uniquely flavored gourmet popcorn from sweet to spicey. The business is located at 115 Flower Valley Shopping Center in Florissant. The phone number is 314-839-1031. Goldkamp Heating & Cooling
The Chamber held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Goldkamp Heating, Cooling and Duct Cleaning to celebrate the relocation of their office now located at 890 N. Lafeyette St. in Florissant. Matt Goldkamp, CEO of the company took us on a tour of the newly renovated building which now hosts their roomy office space along with a large working area and warehouse. In the future, Goldkamp will be adding a showroom featuring their fireplaces. A large crowd was on hand to help celebrate the event including the Goldkamp family, employees, friends, city officials, and several representatives from the GNC Chamber.
