AJB's BBQ

The Greater North County Chamber held a ribbon cutting and welcomed new Member AJB's BBQ! Facility Services Group

St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Students Celebrate Earth Day

St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Students celebrated Earth Day with an art show opening reception on April 21 at Good Shepherd Gallery in Ferguson (252 S. Florissant Rd).  Sr. Glynis Mary McManamon is the artist and proprietor of the gallery, and she worked with art teacher Mrs. Deb Arnold to make the show a reality.  The school is living up to the example of its namesake "pioneer" Saint Rose Philippine Duchesne.  "One of the things I wanted to do was invite communities and youth-oriented art into the space, and these folks are the pioneers; St. Rose stepped up to do it," said Sister Glynis Mary.  The art show will remain in Good Shepherd Gallery through May 6 and is open to the public.

 

April Membership Luncheon & Scholarship Awards

The Greater North County Chamber held our April luncheon and Scholarship Awards at Catering To You Banquet Center on Wednesday, April 20.  We would like to congratulate the six students that received a $1,000 scholarship from the Chamber and the two students that received a $500 scholarship from Jacob's Ladder Ministries.  Pictured in the photo at left are Dwanye McCowan, III, Hazelwood East High School; Cameron Johnson, Riverview Gardens High School; Kara Libby, Hazelwood West High School; Sara Bolton, North County Christian School; Markisha McRoberts, McCluer High School; Taylor Keller, Christian Brothers College (CBC); and Timothy Busch, Hazelwood Central High School.  Please check out our Facebook page for additional photos of the event.


April Business After Hours                                                                                                

We would like to thank Pirrone's Pizzeria & Banquet Center for hosting a fabulous Business After Hours for Greater North County Chamber members and their guests.  It was a packed house and everyone enjoyed some delicious pizza, pasta, salad and drinks all compliments of Pirrone's.  A special thanks goes out to Danielle Puckett for taking such good care of all of our guests that night.  Check out our Facebook page for additional photos of the event.                                                                                  




Jimmy John's Florissant

The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce welcomed new member Jimmy John's with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 29 at their Florissant location.  Members of the chamber staff, ambassadors, board and Florissant city officials joined Florissant Mayor Tom Schneider in welcoming Jimmy John's to the City of Florissant and to the Greater North County Chamber.  Check out our Facebook page for additional photos of the event.




2016 Business Showcase

Thank you to all of the businesses that showcased their products and services at the 2016 Greater North County Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase held on Saturday, March 19 at the James J. Eagan Community Center in Florissant.  We would also like to thank the City of Florissant for partnering with us on this event.  Congratulations to the winners of the"Hot Spot Booth" contest.  First place winner took home a $250 Visa Gift Card, second place a $50 Hendel's gift card and third place a Papa Murphy's Take 'N Bake Pizza Family Feast.  Check out our Facebook page for additional photos of the event.

Ribbon Cutting for Popportunities

The Chamber held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new location of Popportunities Gourmet Popcorn.  Shown in the photo cutting the ribbon is Natalie Pennington and Geneva West.  The new address is 2308 N. Hwy 67 in Florissant across the street from Target.  Stop in and try one of the many delicious flavors of popcorn.
